2022 was an incredible year for 2fawcett Recruitment, both as a business and for our consultants. Our MD Anna-Maria Bains takes a moment to reflect on the past 12months in our latest blog post.
“Firstly, what a year to reflect on, with new additions, promotion’s, personal achievement’s, raising money for charity and some incredible nights away together to name just a few highlights from the past year.”
“At the beginning of the year Georgia Shaw joined 2fawcett to work on the Commercial Desk. She was soon followed by Amy Saunders who joined the business to set up our Construction & Infrastructure Division. Both have been an incredible addition’s to the 2fawcett Team and have been a pleasure to work with in the office.”
“In February the team travelled to Manchester to enjoy a 5 star Break away at the Kimpton Clock Hotel, an all expenses paid day and night out, after the team smashed the January Incentive I set out at the start of 2022. During the day, the team enjoyed modern British dining and cocktails at 20 Stories Roof Top Bar & Restaurant, followed by a night on the town – Dry January was a thing of the past!”
“Tim Rowson soon joined the team as our new Marketing Manager, Tim’s remarkable creativity and experience in this field is just what we as a company needed to increase brand awareness and take the business in the right direction. The relaunch of the 2fawcett website was a big success after it had a fabulous makeover!”
“After implementing a new CRM system into place, it was time to bring in a Wellbeing Specialist to restore balance and enable our team to reach optimal health and wellbeing. Thanks to Jane at Cherry Blossom Wellbeing, each member of our team gets to choose from either a Full Body Massage or Reflexology session on a monthly basis. As our employee’s health is important to us as a business, we also introduced a Corporate Gym Membership at Results Personal Training, where the team can use the gym facilities 7 days a week for those who want to make the most of it!”
“At the start of April we celebrated our 3rd Birthday at Lakeside in Nottingham, for what was a fantastic evening and a chance to all get together outside of work to celebrate what we had all achieved together.”
“It wasn’t long until we were on another City Break Incentive together. This time we had a fabulous 5 star Break in Birmingham at The Grand Hotel. Along with dinner at the Oyster Club and many, many cocktails in the evening that followed. This April Incentive was fully deserved after smashing yet another target!”
“In June we back in Birmingham again, but this time we spent our working day getting a Limo to Selfridges and spending £150 each towards anything the guys desired. From shoes to hand bags, clothes to jewellery – the team we’re very happy with their purchases! I also awarded everyone with an amazing meal and cocktails in Fumo and somehow managed to get back to Derby after the tremendous alcohol consumption! The was a highlight Incentive for many.”
“Jessica Thorpe joined the 2fawcett team in July, to work closely with Arran in the Logistics & Supply Chain Team. After learning the ropes, Jessica’s determination, hard work and passion for recruitment was rewarded at the 2fawcett End of Year Awards Ceremony as she took home the prize for Most Improved Recruiter.”
“Voted Highlight of the year – We hosted our annual Charity Football Tournament in aid of our charity partner – Support Dogs UK. The event saw over 250 people attend, businesses across The Midlands and South Yorkshire came together, and most importantly we raised over £5,000 for Support Dogs UK. Not only were we praised for putting on a fantastic event, Arran scored the winning penalty kick meaning we took home our own trophy! Hopefully we can make it back to back Champions in 2023! A huge thank you to Charlotte and ‘Captain Fantastic’ Tim for leading the team to victory and organising such an incredible event.”
“2fawcett also supported a fantastic Celebrity Golf Day in aid of Prostate Cancer UK. Famous faces included former Premier League Players, Professional Boxing Stars and Well Known Singer’s! The company was represented by Amy Saunders who got to show off her Golf skills with former IBF Welterweight World Champion, Kell Brook. We donated over 120 Golf shirts for all the participants to wear on the day (complete with 2fawcett branding of course!) which helped raise over £5,000 for Prostate Cancer UK. A big congratulations to Plantinum CBD for putting on a fantastic event!”
“There was 4 well deserved promotion’s in the office in 2022. Arran Butler and Becky Bradley were promoted to Managing Consultants after both excelled in their field. Annabel progressed to Senior Consultant, all within a year of joining the business. Lastly, not forgetting Charlotte Higgins who was promoted to Office Manager. A true asset to the company thanks to her incredible work ethic and professionalism.”
“We celebrated a record revenue month in October, which I rewarded the team with an elegant fine dining experience at World Service Restaurant in Nottingham, followed by a fun evening at Roxy’s Ball Room. The team hit the bars and clubs of Nottingham soon after – Where we found out that night Jessica should only drink one glass of wine! #lightweight”
“In November, the whole team and their partners met up at Teamsport Nottingham for a night of racing action! The popular Go Karting evening began with a qualifying session before a 50 lap race! After some thrilling racing there were two drivers who went clear of the rest, Tim and Neil. Both were battling for top spot but in the end it was Neil who took the chequered flag ahead of Tim – Which was questionable after some dirty tactics by Neil! Tom took 3rd place and myself, Anna-Maria taking first girl!”
“Our fabulous Client, Hillfoot Steel, invited us to watch the Sheffield Steelers take on Coventry Blaze in the EIHL. We had a full tour of the Sheffield Arena and even got to do the puck drop before the game and present the Man of the Match award. This was a really enjoyable evening getting to know the guys at Hillfoot and we all enjoyed the Ice Hockey also!”
“We returned the favour in December by inviting Hillfoot to watch Derby County vs Sheffield Wednesday – a very highly anticipated game in our office between Arran (a Ram) and Tim (an Owl). The honours we’re split as the game ended 0-0. Sadly no bragging rights this time round fellas.”
“The team were super exited to welcome baby Jooles into the world, the first 2fawcett Baby who we all got to meet him even earlier than expected! Jade and baby Jooles are doing fantastic and we look forward to welcoming back Jade in 2023!”
“We ended the year on a high at the 2fawcett Christmas Party! Situated a short walk from the office at beautiful venue – The River Mill, Darley Abbey Mills. Everyone dressed up for the occasion as we walked into a Champagne reception, followed by our End of Year Awards Ceremony. Which was presented by the very entertaining Tim Rowson who had spent the majority of December creating themed, funny videos for each category which had us all in stitches! With everyone taking home an award (some less serious than others!) the main prize of the night went to Annabel Hotchkiss who won 2fawcett Recruiter of the Year 2022 after a remarkable year. Annabel has not only been a diligent member in the office, but also out of working hours too. As she competed in her first ever Body Building Competition earlier this year which we were all exceptionally proud of her! The event went on into the early morning as we danced the night away. There was definitely a few sore heads the following day!”
“We also started the year by rewarding some incredible Personal Incentives after a remarkable quarter for Annabel, Georgia and Jessica who all hit their £1,000 Voucher Incentive. In 2022, we gave out over £7,000 worth of Incentive Vouchers across the year and I’m hoping to give out more in 2023! We also saw all of our Consultants hitting at least Car Allowance 1, some hitting Car Allowance 2, and Amy and Becky hitting Car Allowance 3!”
“Thanks to the hard work by everyone, the team hit the Ibiza Incentive Target, which we will all enjoy in May of 2023!”
“Lastly, none of this would have been achieved without the team we have in place today! I’d like to thank everyone for their hard work across 2022, we have shown what can be achieved when everyone works as a team. We have a great office, the best people, and incredible incentives!”
