Role: Supply Chain Planner
Salary: £28,000 – £32,000
Location: Duckmanton, Chesterfield
Type: 15 Months FTC

Overview

2fawcett are recruiting for a Supply Chain Planner to join a leading manufacturing company based in the Duckmanton Area of Chesterfield. The role is an initial FTC of 15 Months with a good scope to develop into a permanent position.

As Supply Chain Planner you will report into the Supply Chain manager and be responsible for ensuring material availability for production by using sales forecasts and running MRP software.

The role is varied and will work closely with the production and purchasing teams.

The Role & Responsibilities of the Supply Chain Controller

– Proactively expedite materials orders in line with production schedule
– Place purchase orders and sales orders efficiently
– Liaise and maintain relationships with external suppliers and Freight forwarders to ensure improvements on pricing and product lead times
– Monitor and analyse KPIs
– Create Production plans using MRP software and track output
– Attend S&OP meetings to review and maintain order book
– Improve business process & costs
– Produce reports

Requirements of the Supply Chain Controller

– Customer service orientated personality
– Good communication skills – internally and externally
– At least 2 years experience within a supply chain planning role
– Experience in running a planning software essential such as Navison or similar
– Positive attitude
– Good timekeeping skills
– Strong interpersonal skills and experience in relationship building with suppliers
– Strong team player, within Procurement & Supply Chain team and throughout the organisation
