Position Overview:

As a Supply Chain Expeditor, you will be responsible for managing our European and Far East supply partners, along with supporting our planning and forecasting functions. Your role will involve a variety of tasks crucial to the efficiency and success of our supply chain operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Managing European & Far East Suppliers:
    • Overseeing the entire order processing cycle.
    • Coordinating shipments and transport logistics.
    • Addressing and resolving any discrepancies.
    • Ensuring accurate data control and maintaining an issues list with follow-ups.
    • Conducting weekly reviews to ensure supplier performance.
  • Shipment Tracking & Communication:
    • Chasing confirmations and consistently updating our internal tracking system from shipment initiation to goods receipt.
    • Communicating any issues or high-profile intakes to the wider business team promptly.
  • Quality Management:
    • Managing product specification sheets and issuing them to suppliers.
    • Arranging quality inspections and collaborating with suppliers to resolve any quality issues before shipment approval.
  • Freight Coordination:
    • Organizing shipments with freight forwarders and tracking deliveries to the final destination.
  • Data Management:
    • Setting up new product items and ensuring all elements of data control are accurately managed.
    • Maintaining accurate system data for the suppliers you manage.
  • Supply Chain Efficiency:
    • Managing the supply chain to meet agreed lead times, Minimum Order Quantities (MOQs), On-Time-In-Full (OTIF) targets, and urgent business requirements.
    • Working directly with suppliers to resolve issues and find effective solutions.
    • Controlling quality-related stock issues from the suppliers you oversee.
  • Team Collaboration:
    • Collaborating with the Purchasing & Planning team to advance the department in all areas.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Data Management: Proficiency in handling large amounts of data.
  • Attention to Detail: Accuracy and attention to detail are crucial.
  • Excel Skills: Intermediate proficiency in Excel.
  • Time Management: Ability to thrive in a fast-moving environment and meet daily deadlines.
