Job Title: Manufacturing Engineer

Location: Lichfield

Salary: £25k – £45k (DOE)

Type: PERM – Monday to Friday

 Overview:

We are looking for a talented and enthusiastic Graduate Manufacturing Engineer to join our clients team. As a key member of our manufacturing team, you will have the opportunity to work on exciting projects and contribute to the success of our operations. This is a really exciting role to work with the senior management team, we are open to candidates who have recently graduated or candidates who are more senior in their experiences.

You will be travelling between two sites so a full driving licence is a must.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the design, development, and implementation of manufacturing processes
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize production efficiency and quality
  • Conduct research and analysis to identify areas for process improvement
  • Support the implementation of new technologies and equipment on the production floor
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality standards
  • Provide technical support to production staff and troubleshoot manufacturing issues
  • In-depth understanding of lean manufacturing principles.
  • Hands-on experience project management
  • Proficiency with analytical tools, workflow time studies, and process balancing.
  • Ability to collaborate with program managers, manufacturing leads, customers, and functional leads, associates.
  • experience with Microsoft Access, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Research and test design ideas to determine feasibility, utilizing lean manufacturing, kaizen, Six Sigma, and root-cause analysis to formulate and support innovation, corrective actions, and improvements.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field
  • Strong academic background with a focus on manufacturing processes and technologies
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
