2fawcett are recruiting for an Installation engineer based in Chesterfield area.

The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic, multi-skilled, professional and qualified to a minimum of level 3 in an electrical discipline. It is also essential to hold an 18th Edition qualification. Applicants should be customer focussed and must be aware of the importance of working to tight deadlines. It is essential that the installers remain professional and conduct themselves appropriately at all times as they will be working on site with clients.

Applicants will be required to travel around the country with overnight stays therefore there must be a flexible approach to working hours and applicants must hold a current, clean driving licence.

An overnight allowance is available to our installers. We will also pay for any evening meals and lunches whilst staying away. The hotels we use are a high standard and are as close as possible to the installation site.

The Installation Engineer (Electrical) role will have specific responsibility for:

  • Providing a professional installation service of sensory integration equipment into customers’ premises, ensuring the quality, safety and workmanship are of the highest standards at all times.
  • Fitting and installing our sensory rooms, including all electrical requirements, fitting and any potential joinery needs
  • Installing, testing and inspecting electrics in customers’ premises within the room that our equipment is being installed, ensuring that this is done in compliance with the latest electrical safety requirements.
  • Issuing an electrical safety certificate on completion of all electrical work within the installation.
  • Ensuring work is carried out following health and safety compliance and making sure rooms are left clean and tidy after the installation.
  • Carrying out site surveys prior to the installation, in accordance with company procedures.
  • Carrying out risk assessments prior to commencing work for all installations.
  • Carrying out service calls and maintenance on our equipment, diagnosing and repairing any faults.

We believe the ideal candidate should hold and maintain electrical competency certificates, including:

  • IET Wiring Regulations (18th Edition current at October 2019)
  • Testing and Inspection qualification
  • Electrotechnical Certification Scheme (ECS) Card

Salary: £34,000.00-£38,000.00 per year
