Overview of the Electrical Engineer

2fawcett are recruiting for an experienced Electrical Design Engineer based in Nottingham. This role will position is an ideal opportunity for an existing Electrical Design Engineer, a ‘time served’ Electrician or University Graduate looking for their first opportunity to transition in to an office-based environment

Responsibilities of the Electrical Design Engineer

• Working alongside other designers and technicians on a wide range of projects
• Preparing load calculations and applying for utility connections
• Production of detailed electrical services design
• Attend design team and project meetings
• Undertaking sub-contractor design drawing and technical submission reviews
• Undertaking site quality and legislative inspections and prepare associated reports
• Coordinating design with colleagues from other disciplines
• Referring to industry design guides, British Standards and Building Regulations

Requirements of the Electrical Design Engineer

• Inhouse training & supports
• Organised with a flexible attitude
• Be a team player, but able to operate at an individual level
• Problem solving abilities
• Have a UK full driving licence.
