About the Role: As the Part-Time Accounts Assistant, you’ll play a pivotal role in keeping the financial operations running smoothly. Reporting to and working closely with one of the Directors, you’ll be responsible for a range of core duties, including:

  • Managing all banking tasks efficiently.
  • Processing supplier invoices and arranging payments.
  • Issuing client invoices and maintaining regular statements.
  • Reconciling banking transactions on Sage monthly.
  • Submitting quarterly VAT returns and processing payments.
  • Overseeing external payroll processes and ensuring accuracy.
  • Handling administrative tasks such as collecting new starter information and ordering office supplies.

Requirements of the Accounts Assistant:

  • Previous experience in a similar role.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Proficiency in bookkeeping procedures and debt collection regulations.
  • Hands-on experience with Sage 50 Accounts would be advantageous.
  • Good knowledge of Excel and other Microsoft applications.
  • Excellent data entry skills with a keen eye for numerical accuracy.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with our talented team while also using initiative.
