2fawcett are seeking an Accounts Assistant to join the finance team within a business located in Bakewell. Our client is looking for someone enthusiastic and ready to hit the ground running!

The Role & Responsibilities of the Accounts Assistant

  • Maintain sales and purchase ledgers
  • Prepare, file, and reconcile both manual and electronic invoices
  • Prepare quarterly VAT returns
  • Provide support for administrative and HR tasks
  • Daily maintenance of sales ledger, purchase ledger, cash book, and nominal ledger
  • Offer ad hoc support as required
  • Negotiating with debtors and creditors
  • Manage own workload and meet deadlines effectively

Requirements of the Accounts Assistant

  • Previous Finance/Accounts Administration experience
  • Experience on both sales and purchase ledger
  • Good computer skills with knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel
  • Excellent communication skills
