2fawcett are recruiting for a credit controller, to join a company located in Alfreton on a permanent basis.

This Credit Controller will join a very friendly team within a family run business.  Our clients are specialist in their industry and pride themselves on the reputation that have built within their specialist field.

The Role & Responsibilities of the Credit Controller

  • Chase customers for overdue payments via phone, email, and letter.
  • Deal with queries on unpaid invoices promptly and professionally.
  • Send reminders for overdue invoices within agreed timescales.
  • Maintain accurate records of all chasing activity.
  • Respond promptly to customer and internal enquiries.
  • Liaise with customers and finance managers to resolve problem accounts and arrange payment plans.
  • Set up new accounts and offer appropriate terms based on credit rating and trade references.
  • Allocate cash and maintain accounts accurately.
  • Collaborate with credit claims and pricing teams to resolve payment queries.
  • Implement legal proceedings for cash collection when necessary.
  • Perform other administrative duties as required.

Requirements of the Credit Controller

  • Ideally will have used Microsoft Excel
  • Ideally will have previous experience using Sage 200
  • Ability to be able to manage own time
  • Have previous experience of working within an accounts assistant role within an SME would be beneficial
