2Fawcett Recruitment is currently seeking an experienced Welder/Fabricator for a well-established industrial services and fabrication company in the Chesterfield area. This is a full-time, long-term opportunity with a stable, growing shop.

This role is ideal for someone who takes pride in craftsmanship, can read prints, and can fabricate and weld parts and assemblies to specification.

Responsibilities:

• Perform MIG and TIG welding on carbon steel and stainless steel (aluminum is a plus)
• Fabricate parts and assemblies from drawings, prints, or sketches
• Cut, fit, tack, and weld components accurately
• Operate shop equipment such as band saws, drills, grinders, and plasma cutters
• Inspect finished work for quality and accuracy
• Maintain a clean and safe work area
• Work independently and as part of a team to meet production goals

Requirements:

• 2+ years of welding and fabrication experience preferred
• Ability to read and understand fabrication drawings and blueprints
• Proficient in MIG welding (TIG experience is a plus)
• Experience working with structural steel, plate, and tubing
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Reliable, punctual, and self-motivated
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs and work on your feet for extended periods

Compensation & Benefits:

• Hourly rate starting from £17 per hour
