Are you a looking for a role within Transport for a Company with a passion for delivering excellent customer service?

2fawcett are recruiting for a Transport Planner to join our client based within the East Midlands. In this role, you’ll help manage our fleet of 30 vehicles, from vans to articulated lorries, delivering a variety of building materials to locations across the UK, including construction sites, merchants, and independent builders.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Coordinate and plan efficient, safe, and compliant vehicle routes from 48 hours in advance to the day of delivery.
• Maintain and update transport records, including daily logs, movements, and reports.
• Optimise vehicle scheduling for maximum efficiency and load capacity.
• Ensure compliance with the Working Time Directive and all relevant transport legislation.
• Arrange additional loads with sub-contractors and negotiate rates.
• Book wide load movements via selected CRM systems.
• Provide support for inbound calls from drivers, sales, and yard teams.

About you:

We are looking for a motivated and experienced Transport Planner with excellent knowledge of UK geography and the transport industry. You’ll be proactive, with strong organisational and planning skills.
