Overview

2fawcett are recruiting for a Supply Chain Coordinator to join a leading manufacturing business in Nottingham.

As Supply Chain Coordinator, you will maintain the supply chain, deal with Stock Management, and communicate effectively with the Customer and Supplier along with dealing with costs for a given business area.

 

Role & Responsibilities

  • Controlling supply chain activity
  • To liaise with customers both in person and by telephone and other internal Departments i.e. Production Administration Department.
  • Coordinate and interpret data from several external sources to accurately work out a customer’s requirements.
  • Suggest print runs to customers that are both cost effective for KWP to produce and in line with customer forecasts.
  • Continually look to reduce the potential for aged and/or redundant stock when suggesting customer print runs.
  • Need to liaise with all other internal Departments (primarily Sales, Planning, Commercial) to ensure prompt and accurate delivery to meet the customer requirements.
  • Liaise with the Supply Chain Manager and keep them informed of any potential issues that might affect the efficient, timely production of an order.
  • Notify the Supply Chain Manager and Commercial Team as soon as you believe a delist or promotion could arise.
  • Where necessary, liaise with the Commercial team to organise the forward ordering of board in line with customer forecast requirements.
  • Deputise for the Supply Chain Manager as and when reasonably required to do so.
  • To ensure that good communication exists between all involved parties thus enabling targets to be achieved.
  • Provide support to the Sales Team, both Internal and External.
  • Regularly maintain and update the VMI files to ensure they reflect the ongoing current situation.

 

Requirements of the Supply Chain Coordinator

  • Good communication skills – internally and externally
  • Able to work well under pressure, with proven efficiency and ability to work to production deadlines.
  • Good timekeeping skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Able to manage multiple activities in parallel but ensuring tasks are closed in a timely manner
  • Strong team player, within Procurement & Supply Chain team and throughout the organisation
