Overview

2fawcett are recruiting for a Stores / Warehouse Manager to join a well-established engineering business based in Lincolnshire on a permanent basis.

This is a key leadership role within the operation, where you will take full responsibility for the day-to-day running of the warehouse. The business prides itself on delivering 100% customer satisfaction, and you will play a crucial role in ensuring operational efficiency, accuracy, and high performance across the warehouse function.

We are looking for a confident and hands-on leader who can drive performance, manage a team effectively, and continuously improve processes in a busy engineering environment.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the daily warehouse and stores operations, ensuring efficiency and accuracy.
  • Maintain and promote high Health & Safety standards across the site.
  • Manage stock control processes, including investigating and resolving discrepancies.
  • Oversee goods-in processes, ensuring timely and accurate receipt of materials.
  • Plan and manage workloads to meet operational demands and KPIs.
  • Monitor and report on warehouse performance, providing insights to the management team.
  • Lead, manage, and develop the warehouse team, including temporary staff.
  • Manage attendance, absence, and return-to-work processes.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and service levels.
  • Support day-to-day warehouse activities when required (hands-on approach).
  • Ensure all warehouse administration is completed accurately and on time.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a warehouse or stores management role within an engineering environment.
  • Strong leadership and people management skills.
  • Ability to read and understand engineering drawings.
  • Experience working within the engineering or manufacturing sector.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • Proactive, hands-on approach with a focus on continuous improvement.
