2fawcett are supporting a client within the manufacturing sector who are looking for a Stores Person to join the team.

Overview:

This is a brilliant opportunity for someone with a strong eye for detail to join a fast-paced engineering environment as a Stores Person. Supporting the Maintenance Stores Supervisor, you’ll manage goods in/out, maintain accurate stock records, and play a key part in keeping vital engineering components available when they’re needed most.

You’ll be working across multiple stores areas and using maintenance software to track spares, so confidence with IT and systems is essential.

About You:

You’ll bring previous experience in stores or stock control, ideally within an engineering or maintenance environment. You’ll need to be organised, proactive, and confident using systems like Microsoft Office and CMMS/ERP software. A forklift licence is desirable, but training can be provided.

Role Responsibilities:

• Receive and check deliveries against purchase orders
• Book items in using maintenance software
• Quality check incoming parts and manage dispatches for servicing
• Reorder parts and maintain appropriate stock levels
• Pick and issue parts to engineers/contractors as needed
• Maintain clear and accurate stock records
• Keep stores areas organised and support regular stock takes
• Assist in improving warehouse layout and ownership of stock areas
