About the Opportunity
2fawcett Infrastructure are recruiting on behalf of our client, a leading UK provider of energy and infrastructure services.
The company delivers nationwide projects across electricity transmission, distribution, renewable energy, EV infrastructure, metering, and home energy solutions.
This opportunity sits within the Distribution & Connections division — supporting major infrastructure and network connection projects across the UK. The team designs, installs, and maintains electrical distribution networks, ensuring safe, reliable, and compliant connections for homes, businesses, and industrial clients.

What you’ll be doing
Are you passionate about creating safe working environments and driving continual improvement?
As SHEQ Advisor, you’ll play a key role in ensuring compliance, promoting a positive safety culture, and supporting operational teams to deliver projects safely and sustainably.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Conducting site inspections, audits, and management reviews for both direct staff and subcontractors
- Advising on areas including risk assessment, fire safety, CDM regulations, hazardous substances, noise and vibration, and machinery safety
- Supporting operational and management teams to develop and implement best practice safety systems
- Liaising with external stakeholders, including clients and regulatory bodies such as the HSE
- Leading and supporting incident reporting, investigations, and root cause analysis
- Delivering toolbox talks, team briefings, and induction training on SHEQ topics
- Contributing to the ongoing improvement of the organisation’s health, safety, environmental, and quality management systems
This is a hands-on, mobile role covering multiple project sites across the UK, ideal for someone who enjoys variety and meaningful impact.
What you’ll bring
- NEBOSH General or Construction Certificate (essential)
- Sound knowledge of CDM Regulations and safety management in construction
- Previous experience as a SHEQ or Safety Advisor (utilities or infrastructure experience advantageous)
- Environmental qualification (desirable)
- Demonstrable ability to promote a positive safety culture and influence at all levels
- Excellent communication skills, including confidence in delivering presentations and training
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Ability to manage conflict or challenge constructively during site inspections
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel nationwide
