Job Description:

Senior Systems Engineer

Location: Plymouth, Devon (hybrid & flexible hours)

Pay: £500 to £600 per day (Inside IR35)

Contract Length: Initial 6 months with potential 12-month extension

Hours: 37 hours per week

We’re seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to join an industry leader in Plymouth, working on cutting-edge safety-critical systems. If you thrive on solving complex problems across hardware, software, and systems, this could be the role for you.

What you’ll do

• Define, manage & validate system requirements
• Lead systems integration (real-time embedded systems, hardware/software)
• Develop & execute verification test procedures
• Collaborate across Software, Electrical & Mechanical engineering
• Support project planning, estimations & reporting

What we’re looking for

• Experienced Systems Engineer who has worked across the full lifecycle
• Have worked within a high-quality service environment, such as automotive, aerospace, defence, or nuclear
• Must have an Engineering Degree
• Someone with strong process management experience and numerical process analytical skills
• Strong background in requirements capture & management (DOORS or similar)
