What will you be doing?

Are you passionate about health, safety, and environmental quality? Are you a committed SHEQ professional who wants to make a real difference?

You will support the implementation of health safety and wellbeing (HSW) policies, procedures, guidance notes and standards.  You’ll monitor direct employees and sub-contractors through site inspections and management audits and advise on specialist areas like risk assessments, fire safety, CDM regulations, hazardous substances, noise, and machinery. Your expertise will help our operational and management teams maintain and develop our systems and practices. You will perform timely audits, analyse, corrective actions and key performance indicators (KPI’s), identify gaps for continuous improvement.

You’ll also present toolbox talks, team talks, and training materials on SHE issues. Delivering induction training to operatives and new starters will be part of your responsibilities.

 

What you’ll bring:

  • NEBOSH General or Construction certificate, with knowledge and experience of CDM Regulations.
  • Previous experience working in heavy civils, groundworks, drainage and earthworks
  • Experience of achieving ISO accreditation
  • Consistently demonstrate high standards of safety behaviour, leading by example and promoting a positive safety culture with the ability to influence at all levels
  • Capable of delivering confident articulate presentations with proficiency in using Microsoft Office – Word, PowerPoint, Excel
  • Full UK driving licence with willingness to travel – this role covers sites throughout the UK
