Location: Derby (Office-Based with Regional Travel)
Salary: Basic DOE + Commission (OTE £70,000)

Our client is a long-established, family-run manufacturing business with an exceptional reputation for quality, craftsmanship, and customer service. Supplying and installing high-end products to the domestic market, they are renowned for their bespoke designs and commitment to excellence. Following a period of sustained growth, they are now seeking an experienced Sales Director to lead the next stage of their expansion.
About the Role
This is a hands-on leadership position, responsible for developing and driving the company’s domestic sales strategy. The successful candidate will take ownership of the sales function, leading a small but capable team while maintaining key client relationships and identifying new business opportunities. You’ll play a pivotal role in achieving ambitious growth targets while ensuring the highest levels of customer satisfaction throughout the sales journey.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver a residential sales strategy aligned with business growth goals
- Lead, motivate, and manage the sales team to achieve and exceed performance targets
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and key accounts
- Identify, qualify, and convert new business opportunities within the domestic market
- Oversee quotations, pricing, and order processes to ensure accuracy and profitability
- Collaborate with design, operations, and installation teams to ensure seamless project delivery
- Analyse performance, market trends, and conversion rates to drive continuous improvement
- Provide regular reporting and forecasting to the senior leadership team
Skills & Experience Required
- Proven experience in a senior sales role within glazing, home improvement, or a related domestic product industry
- Strong leadership and people management skills
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building abilities
- Commercially astute with a deep understanding of the residential sales process
- Results-driven, with the ability to inspire and lead a high-performing team
- Proficient with CRM systems and comfortable analysing data to inform decisions

- On Target Earnings: £70,000 (uncapped commission)
