The Role: Quality Coordinator

2fawcett are recruiting for an experienced Quality Coordinator to join a leading manufacturing business based in Gainsborough. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a background in quality assurance or manufacturing quality who’s looking to take the next step in their career.

In this role, you’ll support the Quality and Product Safety teams across several production areas (Print, Lamination, and Conversion). You’ll be involved in quality improvement projects, complaint investigations, and audits, helping to ensure standards remain high and consistent.

You’ll also play a key part in reducing internal and external complaints, improving efficiency, and maintaining compliance with key standards such as BRCGS and ISO 9001. The role includes supporting the Quality Assurance Manager and acting as deputy for the Quality Supervisor when needed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support and maintain compliance with BRCGS and ISO 9001 standards.
  • Investigate and manage product complaints and non-conformances.
  • Analyse and report on quality performance metrics and trends.
  • Collaborate with production teams to reduce quality issues and improve processes.
  • Manage supplier claims and documentation (specifications, SAQs, etc.).
  • Conduct internal audits and assist with third-party audit preparation.
  • Carry out site compliance checks (glass, knives, brittle plastics, etc.).

What We’re Looking For:

  • Experience in a quality role within manufacturing.
  • Good understanding of BRCGS and ISO 9001.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • High attention to detail and a proactive, logical mindset.
  • Confident with Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Experience within flexible plastics packaging would be a real advantage.
