We are currently recruiting for a Purchasing Assistant to join a growing and fast-paced business based in Rotherham. This is an excellent opportunity for an organised and detail-oriented individual looking to develop their career within purchasing and supply chain operations.
Working closely with the procurement and operations teams, you will play a key role in supporting the day-to-day purchasing function, ensuring materials, products and supplies are ordered efficiently and delivered on time.
Key Responsibilities:
- Raising and processing purchase orders.
- Liaising with suppliers regarding pricing, lead times and deliveries.
- Monitoring stock levels and supporting inventory management.
- Chasing outstanding orders and updating internal systems.
- Supporting invoice queries and supplier documentation.
- Maintaining accurate purchasing records and databases.
- Assisting with general administration within the procurement department.
- Working closely with warehouse, finance and operations teams.
The Ideal Candidate:
- Previous administration or purchasing experience preferred.
- Strong organisational and communication skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Confident using Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Outlook.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and work to deadlines.
- Proactive and willing to learn.
- Experience within manufacturing, logistics, supply chain or procurement environments would be advantageous.
