Purchasing Administrator

Salary: £25,000 – £26,000
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, Flexible

Our client is looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Purchasing Administrator to join their Purchasing & Supply Chain team initially on a temporary basis. In this role, you will help ensure materials are ordered, coordinated, and delivered efficiently by working closely with suppliers, transport partners, and internal site teams.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Prepare, issue, and manage purchase orders
  • Track delivery timelines and follow up with suppliers to ensure schedules are met
  • Arrange transport and organise logistics in line with site needs
  • Communicate with site support teams to confirm materials arrive on time and complete
  • Keep records accurate through data entry, document management, and system updates
  • Assist the purchasing team with day-to-day administrative tasks as needed

About You:

  • Highly organised with the ability to juggle multiple tasks and deadlines
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Previous experience in administration and purchasing is essential
  • Knowledge of purchasing/ERP systems is an advantage (training available)
  • Excellent attention to detail with a proactive, solution-focused mindset
  • Comfortable using Microsoft Office applications
