Proposals Manager – Infrastructure

Location: UK-wide – Remote with 1 Day Per Week in Nottinghamshire

2fawcett are excited to be supporting a leading infrastructure organisation in the recruitment of a talented and experienced Proposals Manager. This is a pivotal role within a growing team, responsible for leading and developing high-quality bids for complex, multidisciplinary infrastructure projects across the rail, highways, energy and nuclear sectors.

The successful candidate will manage the full end-to-end bid process, create compelling written content, and work closely with technical experts to deliver winning submissions that secure strategic opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the full bid lifecycle from initial capture through to final submission, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality and competitive proposal documents.
  • Write, edit and proofread persuasive, technically accurate and tailored bid responses.
  • Work collaboratively with subject matter experts, commercial teams and delivery leads to shape bid strategies, facilitating solution development workshops and internal reviews.
  • Coordinate with Bid Coordinators to maintain schedules and uphold quality across all deliverables.
  • Analyse tender documentation to identify key requirements, win themes and compliance obligations.
  • Support post-submission activities including clarifications, presentations and debrief sessions.
  • Contribute to internal knowledge sharing and support the development of junior team members.

Skills, Knowledge & Experience

  • Proven experience as a Proposals Manager within the infrastructure sector (minimum 3 years), ideally with exposure to highways, energy, rail or nuclear.
  • Outstanding writing, editing and communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical information into clear, engaging content.
  • Strong organisational and project management abilities, capable of handling multiple bids simultaneously.
  • Collaborative, proactive and confident engaging with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Solid understanding of industry standards, procurement processes and compliance requirements.

Desirable

  • APMP or equivalent bid/proposal management qualification.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Adobe tools (Acrobat, InDesign).
