Project Manager – Wastewater

2fawcett are currently recruiting for an experienced and motivated Project Manager with a background in mechanical engineering to deliver wastewater projects across the Midlands and wider UK.
This is an exciting opportunity for an individual who thrives on responsibility, enjoys problem-solving, and is eager to make a genuine impact within a growing organisation.
This is a hybrid position, requiring time spent both at the main office and on project sites.

The Role
· Lead the planning, coordination, and delivery of wastewater projects from inception to completion.
· Manage daily site operations, ensuring full compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards.
· Oversee the design, approval, and implementation of temporary works.
· Ensure compliance with CDM 2015 Regulations, acting as Principal Contractor or Designer where appropriate.
· Liaise closely with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and internal teams to maintain effective communication and alignment.
· Monitor project budgets, forecasts, and commercial performance.
· Prepare and issue RAMS, programmes, progress reports, and handover documentation.
· Provide technical input on pumps, pipework, valves, and treatment equipment.
· Lead and mentor site teams, promoting a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement.

The Candidate
· Degree or HNC/HND in Mechanical Engineering (or a related discipline).
· Proven project management experience within the wastewater or water treatment sector.
· Strong understanding of temporary works, CDM regulations, and site management practices.
· Commercially astute, with experience managing budgets, procurement, and contracts.
· Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
· Valid CSCS card, SMSTS, and First Aid certification.
· Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel as required.
