Hours: Monday to Friday, flexible to accommodate personal commitments
Salary: £30,000 – £35,000 depending on experience
Start Date: As soon as possible

We are working with a client based in Doncaster who are seeking an experienced Payroll Bureau to join their team due to continued company expansion.

Key Responsibilities

As a Payroll Administrator, you will be responsible for the accurate and timely processing of weekly, fortnightly, monthly, and annual payrolls using Sage 50 Payroll.

Your duties will include:

  • Processing payrolls across a diverse client portfolio, ensuring accuracy and compliance with payroll legislation.
  • Calculating and processing variable pay elements, including overtime and additional hours worked.
  • Administering statutory payments such as SSP, SMP, SPP, and other statutory entitlements.
  • Managing Auto Enrolment pension schemes, including the processing of weekly and monthly pension submissions to a range of pension providers.
  • Responding to payroll-related queries from clients via email and telephone, delivering a professional and high-quality service.
  • Supporting colleagues across the payroll team and providing cover during periods of holiday or absence.
  • Maintaining accurate electronic records through document scanning and filing as required.
  • Assisting with ad hoc payroll and administrative tasks to support the wider business.

The Ideal Candidate

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Previous experience in a payroll position, with a strong understanding of payroll processes and legislation.
  • Hands-on experience using Sage 50 Payroll.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the confidence to explain payroll matters clearly to clients.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to effectively manage a varied workload.
  • A proactive and self-motivated approach, with the ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
  • High levels of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • A team-focused attitude with a willingness to support colleagues when required.
