We are currently recruiting for a Payroll Assistant to join a busy and growing team for a well established, local company. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong attention to detail who is looking to build or develop a career within payroll and finance.

Key Responsibilities:
– Processing weekly and monthly payroll accurately and on time.
– Maintaining payroll records and employee data.
– Handling timesheets, absences, and overtime calculations.
– Assisting with statutory payments including SSP, SMP, and pensions.
– Responding to payroll queries from employees and management.
– Supporting RTI submissions and compliance with HMRC regulations.
– Reconciling payroll reports and assisting with audits.
– General payroll administration and record keeping.
Requirements:
– Previous experience in a payroll, finance, or administration role (preferred but not essential).
– Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
– Basic understanding of payroll processes and legislation is beneficial.
– Confident using Microsoft Excel and payroll systems.
– Good organisational and time management skills.
– Strong communication skills.
– Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
