Are you an organised and detail-driven professional with experience in manufacturing or logistics? We are currently recruiting for an Operations Coordinator to join a well-established and growing organisation within a fast-paced production environment.
This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in supporting operational performance, ensuring efficient planning, reporting, and coordination across production and logistics functions.
The Role
As an Operations Coordinator, you will provide vital support to the Operations and Production teams, helping to ensure smooth material flow, accurate reporting, and on-time delivery performance. You will be involved in both planning and administrative functions, working closely with internal stakeholders to drive efficiency and maintain high standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate subcontract operations, including raising purchase orders and booking stock back into the system
- Develop, manage, and communicate weekly production plans to support on-time, in-full delivery
- Collaborate with Production Leads to ensure appropriate labour resource is allocated
- Record and analyse production output data, generating reports for senior management
- Monitor and report on key performance indicators such as efficiency, quality, and wait times
- Manage purchase orders, acknowledgements, and supplier communications to ensure timely material delivery
- Maintain accurate documentation, including scanning and uploading delivery notes and PODs
- Provide occasional support to Logistics and Customer Service teams, including telephone cover
- Assist with internal and external audits when required
- Support wider operational activities as needed
About You
We are looking for a proactive and adaptable individual who thrives in a busy environment and takes pride in delivering accurate and timely work.
Essential:
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a production, logistics, or operations coordination role within a manufacturing environment
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths
Desirable:
- Experience using Sage or similar systems
