Office Administrator
Location: Ripley, Derbyshire
Salary: £25,000 – £28,000 (DOE)
Type: Full-time, Permanent
The Opportunity
This is a varied and fast-paced position where you’ll play a key role in coordinating office operations, supporting senior management, and ensuring the smooth running of projects from start to finish. It’s ideal for someone who enjoys organisation, problem-solving, and being at the heart of a busy business environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Answer incoming calls and direct them to the appropriate team members or Directors.
- Greet clients and visitors professionally, representing the company with a positive attitude.
- Manage diaries, schedule meetings, and support with travel or logistics.
- Place and manage orders with suppliers and coordinate courier collections/deliveries.
- Check and reconcile invoices, ensuring accuracy and timely processing.
- Maintain and update spreadsheets and records using Microsoft Excel.
- Coordinate allocated jobs from end to end, ensuring deadlines are met.
- Assist with general office duties to ensure smooth daily operations.
- Support with HR administration, including monitoring holidays and sickness records (desirable).
- Continuously look for ways to improve processes and working practices.
About You
- Strong organisational and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Confident using Microsoft Office, particularly Excel (able to create spreadsheets from scratch).
- Problem-solving mindset with the ability to prioritise and multitask.
- Team player who can also work independently and take initiative.
- Approachable, professional, and helpful in all interactions.
- Previous experience in an office coordination, administration, or PA-style role.
- (Desirable) Experience with workflow systems or advanced Excel / Microsoft Flow knowledge.
- (Desirable) Exposure to basic HR functions such as absence tracking or onboarding.
