Job Description:

We’re recruiting a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join a high-quality manufacturing site in Ripley. This is a permanent opportunity within a complex, safety-critical production environment, with a strong focus on moving from reactive to proactive maintenance.

You’ll work as part of a 3-engineer shift team, reporting to a Shift Team Leader, supporting plant reliability and minimising downtime.

Maintenance Engineer Key Responsibilities:

• Reactive & planned preventive maintenance.
• Electrical & mechanical fault finding.
• Root cause analysis & breakdown reduction.
• Driving a proactive maintenance culture.
• Monitoring performance (MTTF / MTTR).
• Working safely to H&S standards.
• Following risk assessments, SOPs & LOTO.

What We’re Looking For:

Maintenance Engineer Essential

• Time-served Engineering Apprenticeship (NVQ Level 3 or equivalent).
• 4+ years’ experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Strong mechanical skills, including:
• Welding.
• Hydraulics & pneumatics.
• Pipe fitting.
• Machine shop work.
• Electrical fault-finding experience (multi-skilled).
• Proactive mindset with a focus on continuous improvement.

Maintenance Engineer Desirable

• Experience with steam systems.
