2Fawcett Recruitment are excited to be working with a a business located in Nottinghamshire who are seeking a management accountant to support their fast-paced operation.
The successful candidate will play a vital role in managing financial records, analysing financial data, and supporting strategic decision-making processes. This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a strong background in financial management and accounting software to contribute to organisational growth and efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Prepare accurate and timely monthly management and financial accounts
- Work with the commercial team to validate business development and pricing models
- Provide clear financial analysis to internal stakeholders to improve commercial understanding
- Maintain structured, transparent client-level accounts to support operational decision-making
- Support the Finance Director with reporting, analysis and project-based work
- Mentor, support and develop Finance Assistants and an apprentice
- Review and approve sales invoices, payments and core finance processes
- Prepare MI packs, schedules, reconciliations and monthly board reports
- Produce separate financial accounts for UK and Ireland, including correct tariffs, charges and taxes
- Contribute to business strategy by challenging assumptions and supporting budgets and targets
- Manage cashflow and key financial metrics across the business
- Ensure financial systems are effective and recommend/implement improvements where needed
- Prepare annual budgets and ongoing forecasts aligned to business performance
- Maintain compliance with all financial regulations including taxation, capital and debt requirements
- Complete VAT returns and prepare associated payments
- Analyse financial data to identify patterns, risks and opportunities
- Support year-end processes, producing audit reports and reconciliations
Requirements
- CIMA or ACCA qualified or part-qualified
- Strong analytical ability and advanced Excel skills
- Ability to work to tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Familiarity with SAGE Intacct
