Responsibilities:

• Carry out scheduled preventative maintenance (PPM) across a wide range of machinery and equipment.
• Respond to mechanical and electrical breakdowns in a timely manner to minimise downtime.
• Perform fault-finding and diagnostic work on production and site equipment.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and machine reliability improvements.
• Conduct routine inspections and condition monitoring to identify wear and potential issues.
• Carry out repairs involving mechanical fitting, fabrication, and light welding where necessary.
• Complete and maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation.
• Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental policies.
• Participate in project-based work, including machinery installations and upgrades.

Requirements:

• Proven experience in a maintenance engineering role within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Strong understanding of both mechanical and/or electrical maintenance practices.
• Experience with fault finding, PPM systems, and hands-on repair work.
• Welding and/or fabrication experience highly desirable.
• Comfortable using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
• Relevant engineering qualifications (e.g. NVQ Level 3, HNC, City & Guilds or equivalent).
• Flexible approach to working hours and tasks; team-oriented mindset.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently.
