Responsibilities:
- Carry out scheduled preventative maintenance (PPM) across a wide range of machinery and equipment.
- Respond to mechanical and electrical breakdowns in a timely manner to minimise downtime.
- Perform fault-finding and diagnostic work on production and site equipment.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and machine reliability improvements.
- Conduct routine inspections and condition monitoring to identify wear and potential issues.
- Carry out repairs involving mechanical fitting, fabrication, and light welding where necessary.
- Complete and maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation.
- Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental policies.
- Participate in project-based work, including machinery installations and upgrades.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in a maintenance engineering role within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Strong understanding of both mechanical and/or electrical maintenance practices.
- Experience with fault finding, PPM systems, and hands-on repair work.
- Welding and/or fabrication experience highly desirable.
- Comfortable using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
- Relevant engineering qualifications (e.g. NVQ Level 3, HNC, City & Guilds or equivalent).
- Flexible approach to working hours and tasks; team-oriented mindset.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently.
