Overview:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Junior CNC Engineer to join a growing and well-established manufacturing company. The ideal candidate will have a passion for precision engineering and a keen interest in developing their expertise in CNC programming, machining, and maintenance.
Responsibilities:
- Operate, set, and program CNC machines to produce high-quality components.
- Work with CAD/CAM software to design and modify machining programs.
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on CNC machinery.
- Ensure quality control by conducting inspections and measurements.
- Collaborate with senior engineers to improve manufacturing processes.
- Maintain a safe and efficient workspace, adhering to all health and safety regulations.
- Read and interpret technical drawings to ensure precise machining.
Requirements:
- Previous experience operating CNC machines (training will be provided for junior candidates).
- Understanding of machining processes, tooling, and materials.
- Familiarity with CAD/CAM software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Fusion 360) is desirable.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work to tight tolerances.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
- Good problem-solving skills and a proactive attitude.
- A team player with strong communication skills.
- Engineering qualification (apprenticeship, HNC, or degree in a related field) is an advantage.
