Location: Leeds, LS2 (Hybrid/Remote)
Salary: £26,000
Type: Permanent, Full-Time, Hybrid/Remote working
Working Hours: Monday – Friday, 9:00am – 5:00pm

During the initial induction period, you will be required to attend the office for training. Following this, the role will move to remote working, with occasional office attendance required as needed.

Overview:

We are looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Bookkeeper & Administrator to join our client’s finance team. This hybrid/remote role blends administrative and financial responsibilities, including purchase ledger, payroll support, VAT, reconciliations, and general office duties. It’s ideal for someone organised, proactive, and confident in managing multiple tasks within a small business environment.

Responsibilities

  • Maintaining accurate financial records using Xero
  • Processing invoices and receipts
  • Assisting with bank reconciliations
  • Preparing financial reports for the CEO including inputting his expenses
  • Dealing with HMRC- VAT Returns
  • Working closely with the external accountant for payroll
  • Credit control
  • Dealing with the assessors invoices, working closely with other colleagues
  • General office administration and clerical support
  • Responding to emails and phone calls in a timely and professional manner
  • Assisting with diary and calendar management, including meeting scheduling
  • Updating records and managing data via CRM system

What We’re Looking For

  • Previous experience in an accounts administration role
  • Good administration skills
  • Some experience using accountancy software – Xero would be ideal
  • Good understanding of basic accounting principles
  • Strong Microsoft Excel and IT skills
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively
  • Organised, reliable, and able to meet deadlines
  • Comfortable working in a small business environment where flexibility is required
