About the Role:

2fawcett are recruiting on behalf of a growing manufacturing business based in Rotherham for an Import Logistics & Stock Control Coordinator. This role focuses on managing international shipments into the UK while ensuring accurate stock levels to support business operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Import Logistics

• Coordinate shipments from international suppliers (mainly Turkey and China).
• Arrange freight (sea, road, air) and liaise with logistics providers.
• Track deliveries and ensure compliance with UK import regulations.
• Schedule container deliveries to avoid additional charges.

Customs & Documentation

• Prepare and check import documentation.
• Work with customs brokers to ensure smooth clearance.
• Resolve any shipment or documentation issues.

Stock Control

• Maintain accurate stock records.
• Monitor inventory levels and forecast demand.
• Support purchasing by planning replenishment orders.
• Produce basic stock reports and assist with audits.

Exports (Occasional)

• Support outbound shipments to Europe when required.

Skills & Experience:

Essential

• Experience in logistics, supply chain, or import/export.
• Knowledge of UK customs and import processes.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Good Excel skills and ability to work with data.

Desirable

• ERP or inventory system experience.
• Experience working with international suppliers.
