Position: Health and Safety Advisor – Highways
Location: On site – Projects throughout the South
Salary: £35k – £40k+ Night shift uplift

2fawcett Infrastructure is partnering with a medium sized leading Tier One provider of Technology, Street Lighting, Signs, Civil Engineering and Traffic Signals, within the Highway Sector. They have aligned themselves to changing markets and Technological advancements to maintain growth and sustainability within the sector.This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with 1-2 years’ experience in HSQE within a construction environment, keen to develop their career. There is genuine opportunity for progression and personal development. Due to the nature of their projects, the successful applicant must possess a full UK driving licence and be willing to travel throughout the South of England. They must also be willing to work unsociable hours including nights/weekends.
The Role
- Assist with managing and maintaining the Integrated Management System and associated ISO accreditations [9001, 14001 and 45001]
- Write clear and concise reports, procedures, and guidance documents.
- Reviewing RAMS
- Liaising with Site Management
- Co-operate and implement company and individual HSW targets and objectives.
- Undertaking Site Inspections
- Liaising with Site Teams
- Performing thorough investigations to offer root cause analysis and conclusions for all accidents, incidents and high potential near-misses.
Candidate Requirements
- NEBOSH General/Construction Certificate or equivalent (desired)
- IOSH Managing Safely (minimum)
- Construction/Highways experience (preferred but not essential)
- Understanding of MS Office Suite
- Good communicator with external and internal stakeholders
- Desire to learn and implement sector specific knowledge.
- Undertake Drug & Alcohol testing
- Undertake safety critical medical
- CSCS – (desirable)
