Global IT Operations Engineer
Location: Derbyshire (hybrid)
Salary: £60,000 + 10% bonus
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

We are working with a global organisation looking to appoint an experienced Global IT Operations Engineer to support and standardise their end-user IT environment across multiple international regions.

This is a hands-on technical engineering role focused on Microsoft 365 and endpoint management. You will work closely with global IT teams to ensure that devices, policies and operational processes are secure, compliant and consistent across all sites worldwide.

The role offers a high level of autonomy and the opportunity to play a key role in shaping global IT operations and modern workplace technologies.

Key Responsibilities

As Global IT Operations Engineer, you will be responsible for managing and improving the organisation’s end-user computing environment.

Responsibilities include:

  • Defining and maintaining global IT policies and endpoint standards
  • Managing Microsoft 365 environments, including Entra ID, Exchange Online and Intune
  • Overseeing lifecycle management of endpoint devices including Windows, Apple and mobile devices
  • Ensuring endpoint compliance through patching, encryption, configuration management and monitoring
  • Managing endpoint deployment standards using Intune and SCCM
  • Supporting regional service desk teams and ensuring alignment with global IT standards
  • Maintaining and improving the global IT knowledge base and documentation
  • Identifying opportunities to improve automation, efficiency and user experience
  • Monitoring service desk performance and operational compliance across global regions
  • Producing reports on endpoint compliance, patch status, device inventory and operational KPIs
  • Working with global IT teams, including security, infrastructure and applications

Skills and Experience

To be successful in this role, you should have strong technical experience managing Microsoft 365 environments and endpoint devices.

Required experience:

  • Extensive experience working with Microsoft 365
  • Experience managing Microsoft 365 environments including Entra ID, Exchange Online and Intune
  • Strong experience with endpoint management and device compliance
  • Experience managing Windows, Apple and mobile device environments
  • Experience using Intune and SCCM
  • Knowledge of ServiceNow or similar IT service management platforms
  • Strong troubleshooting skills across hardware and software environments
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
  • Strong communication skills and experience working with global IT teams

Desirable:

  • Microsoft certification such as Microsoft 365 Certified: Administrator Expert (MS-102)
  • Experience working in global or multi-regional IT environments
