About the Role

We are currently supporting a well-established client in the recruitment of an experienced Generator Engineer to join their growing team. This is a site-based, days-only position offering a stable workload, strong earning potential, and the opportunity to work with a wide range of generator systems across commercial and industrial environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Service, maintenance, fault finding, and repair of diesel and gas generators
  • Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on site
  • Diagnosing and resolving mechanical and electrical faults efficiently
  • Conducting load testing and commissioning of generator sets
  • Ensuring all work is completed in line with health & safety standards
  • Completing accurate service reports and documentation
  • Providing on-site technical support to clients when required

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Generator Engineer or similar role
  • Strong knowledge of diesel generator systems (electrical/mechanical)
  • Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose faults independently
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Strong communication skills and professional approach
  • Willingness to work across various client sites
