Job Title: Financial Accountant

Salary: Up to £60,000 per annum

Location: Central-East Birmingham, Nechells (B7)

Type: Permanent, Office Based, Full Time, Monday – Friday

Overview
2Fawcett is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Financial Accountant to join a growing manufacturing business based in Birmingham.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements and reports.
  • Manage month-end and year-end closing processes.
  • Reconcile general ledger accounts and monitor financial transactions.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory and statutory requirements.
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
  • Assist with audits and provide necessary documentation.
  • Recommend process improvements to enhance efficiency.
  • Provide financial guidance to internal teams and management.

What We’re Looking For

  • Fully qualified with a minimum of 5 years of post-qualification experience
  • Proven experience using accounting software, with Sage 200 experience preferred
  • Proficiency in financial management principles including accounts payable, receivables, and general ledger maintenance.
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Analytical mindset with high attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting.
  • Good communication skills to liaise effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to adapt quickly to new systems or processes within a fast-paced environment.
