Salary: £45,000–£50,000 full-time equivalent (FTE) / £27,000–£30,000 pro-rata for 3 days per week

We are seeking a highly skilled and strategic Part-Time Finance Manager to join our client in Swadlincote. The successful candidate will take full responsibility for managing their accounts, playing a key role in supporting strategic decision-making and driving financial performance.

Type: Permanent, Part-Time, Office-Based

Working Hours:
Monday to Wednesday, 8:00am – 4:30pm (flexible start times available)

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare monthly and annual accounts, liaising with external accountants.
  • Oversee payroll, VAT, and HMRC processes, ensuring compliance and accuracy.
  • Lead month-end accounts preparation.
  • Manage and analyse cash flow to support business operations.
  • Lead budgeting and forecasting processes.
  • Produce accurate and timely financial reports for senior management.
  • Provide support and guidance to finance team members.
  • Develop and implement financial strategies.
  • Ensure adherence to financial policies and procedures across all departments.

Requirements

  • Up to date knowledge of Sage 50 and proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
  • Demonstrable experience working as a Finance Manager, ideally within a manufacturing environment
  • A formal accountancy qualification (AAT, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) is preferred, although candidates qualified by experience are also encouraged to apply.
  • Strong organisational skills with attention to detail
