Role: Finance and HR Manager
Salary: £38,000 – £43,000 per annum (negotiable depending on experience) + Bonus after trial period
Contract: Full time, permanent
Hours: Monday to Friday 09:00-17:00

2fawcett are working with a business located in Greater Manchester who have an excellent opportunity for a motivated finance & HR manager who is experienced in all areas of bookkeeping, finance and HR to join a business that will support your career growth.

General Accounts Duties:

  • Working with Financial Management Accounting Systems (SAGE)
  • Carry out daily Ledger Accounting for both Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable
  • Deal with daily financial queries internally and externally
  • Daily Bank Reconciliation.
  • Gather Suppliers’ invoices from each department, reconcile, authorise and ensure prompt payment of invoices
  • Produce Debtors and Creditors Reports and Analyse findings
  • Produce Bank Reconciliation with General Ledger
  • Closure of debtors Accounts -undertake Budget managements, Fees, and Expenses
  • Vat Returns
  • Credit controlling; chasing debts, ensure we keep in line with the cash forecast
  • Keeping all client information up to date and current
  • Daily Sales Invoicing
  • Daily Purchase Updating
  • Checking and reconciling supplier statements and dealing with differences in a timely manner.
  • Payment Runs – twice per month
  • Accrual monthly overview

Management Responsibilities.

  • Developing and managing Financial Systems and Policies
  • Produce weekly and monthly Financial and Management Accounting Reports
  • Communicate, investigate and produce accurate information in a timely and efficient manner
  • Produce and Analyse Financial Statements, P&L and input to one stream monthly
  • Monitor Expenditure on a monthly basis
  • Working with external accountant’s for end of year audit
  • Managing the process of the sales and purchase ledger
  • Dealing with issues if procedures are not being followed
  • Producing EOM management internal presentation.
  • Support for annual audits.
  • Renewals of phone, energy and insurance
  • Support to General manager on annual budgets.
  • Support to General manager on EOM reporting, budget tracking and projects.
  • Dealing with any supplier disputes
  • Management of suppliers – IT – Phones – Energy – Insurance
  • Ensuring all HQ deadline are met during month end period.
  • Work on paperless / ecofriendly office initiative
  • New software improvements and implementation

HR Responsibilities

  • Weekly Timesheets
  • Monthly Payrole summary
  • Dealing with employee wage queries
  • Ensuring Staff files are compliant at all times
  • Monthly headcount and open position report to HQ
  • Weekly time and attendance reporting to management

Experience

  • A recognised finance qualification or at least 5 years experience
  • Previous experience in a similar role is essential
  • Able to maintain accurate and effective record keeping systems
  • Produce records and reports
  • Can communicate effectively
  • Shows sensitivity and objectivity with dealing with confidential issues
  • Flexible and efficient while demonstrating excellent attention to detail
  • Strong admin skills
  • Strong communication skills
  • Competent in Excel and Word
