2fawcett are currently recruiting for an Engine Stand Operative to join our client on a permanent basis. The successful candidate would join a skilled and fast-paced team maintaining and repairing engine stands for a leading engineering company.

This hands-on role involves inspection, servicing, and preparation of engine stands for dispatch, with occasional travel to customer sites across the UK.

The Role:

  • Inspect, service, and repair engine stands and products delivered.
  • Prepare stands for dispatch based on job sheets.
  • To service and where required repair the engine stands to required specification.
  • Taking delivery of products and storage.
  • Responsibility for stock control.
  • Regular communication with customers.
  • Services and duties on site at customer premises/sites throughout the UK.
  • General workshop duties including the good housekeeping of the workshop area.
  • Manual handling of items following laid down procedures and adhering to Health & Safety standards.
  • Any other reasonable.
  • Operate forklifts and mechanical equipment.
  • Maintain stock and workshop housekeeping.
  • Communicate with customers and support on-site services.

 

The Candidate:

  • Eligibility to work in the UK, no sponsorship will be offered.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings. ​
  • Knowledge of mechanical engineering processes. ​
  • Experience with handheld tools (essential).
  • Good dexterity and attention to detail.
  • Forklift truck (FLT) experience is desirable.
  • Overhead crane experience is advantageous (training provided).
  • Full UK driving licence and valid passport.
