As an Electrical Design Engineer, you will be responsible for delivering electrical design work on high-pressure pipeline and plant systems, ensuring all outputs meet rigorous engineering standards within client-set budgets and timelines.

You will be proactive, detail-driven and capable of working both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team. A strong understanding of health, safety and environmental considerations linked to design and construction is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

• Produce electrical designs for high-pressure pipeline and plant systems.
• Ensure work aligns with engineering standards, budgets and deadlines.
• Take ownership of work quality, ensuring precision and compliance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional internal teams and stakeholders.
• Promote and adhere to HSE standards and safe working practices.
• Support and contribute to instrumentation design tasks as required.

Skills & Experience Required:

Essential:

• Degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Registration with an appropriate engineering institution.
• Incorporated or Chartered status (or actively working towards it).
• Experience within utilities, pipelines, or related industries.
• Strong understanding of applicable design codes, including:
• BS7671 (Wiring Regulations)
• Relevant British Standards

Desirable:

• C&G 2396 Electrical Design qualification

Experience with:

• AMTECH
• AutoCAD 2D
• ATEX / DSEAR compliance
• Knowledge of instrumentation systems.
