Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Credit Risk Analyst to join our client, a highly recognised and market-leading organisation in their sector.
You will play a key role in assessing credit applications, monitoring risk, and supporting the implementation of effective credit strategies. This position is ideal for someone with a strong finance background particularly in credit risk management with an understanding of risk analysis and fraud prevention. You will thrive if you enjoy analytical challenges, problem-solving, and contributing to strategic financial decisions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review credit applications and monitor cash transactions to identify potential risks.
- Conduct risk assessments and recommend credit limits or adjustments.
- Support fraud prevention measures and ensure compliance with company policies.
- Analyse financial accounts and credit reports to inform decision-making.
- Maintain accurate records of credit decisions and follow-up actions.
- Work closely with internal teams, including sales and customer service, to support seamless operations.
What We’re Looking For
- Experience in credit risk management or a similar finance role is essential.
- Understanding of credit risk principles, risk analysis, and fraud prevention.
- Confident user of Excel and other finance systems.
- Ability to interpret financial statements and credit reports.
- Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Relevant qualifications such as a degree in Finance, Accounting, or an AAT qualification are desirable.
