2fawcett Recruitment are delighted to be recruiting for a CNC Operator / Setter on behalf of our well-established manufacturing client based in Dronfield.

The Role

As a CNC Operator / Setter, you will be responsible for setting and operating CNC machinery to manufacture precision components in line with engineering drawings and customer specifications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Set and operate CNC milling and/or turning machines
  • Interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications
  • Select tooling and fixtures appropriate to each job
  • Conduct in-process inspection using measuring equipment
  • Make offset adjustments to maintain tight tolerances
  • Carry out routine machine maintenance
  • Ensure all components meet quality standards
  • Work efficiently to meet production targets and deadlines

The Ideal Candidate

  • Previous experience as a CNC Operator / Setter
  • Ability to read and understand technical drawings
  • Experience using Fanuc, Haas or Siemens controls (advantageous)
  • Knowledge of milling and/or turning processes
  • Competent using measuring equipment (micrometers, verniers etc.)
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Able to work independently or as part of a team
