Salary: Up to £36,000 DOE

2fawcett recruitment have an exciting opportunity for a strategic buyer from a manufacturing background looking for a new challenge. The buyer will work closely with the sourcing team to identify cost saving opportunities and evaluate suppliers to ensure Inventory levels are maintained. The successful candidate will have strong negotiation skills and contribute to streamlining the procurement function.

Role Responsibilities

• Generating Purchase orders efficiently in line with company budget
• Purchase goods and services
• Supplier sourcing and assessments for new suppliers
• Coordinating with supply team to ensure inventory levels are maintained
• Supplier negotiation and identifying cost saving opportunities without compromising quality.
• Ensuring ERP system is utilised and system maintained accurately
• Liaising with finance, manufacturing and stock teams

Requirements

• Strong negotiation skills
• Minimum 2 years experience in a buying or procurement role
• Proven cost saving skills
• Proficiency in ERP usage and utilisation
