Job Title: Buyer
Location: Office-based
Salary: £34,000 – £38,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
Location: North Nottinghamshire

About the Role:
We are seeking a proactive and resourceful Buyer to join our clients small, dynamic two-person procurement team. This fast-paced and demanding role involves competitively sourcing materials within tight time frames for fitout sites and joiner’s workshop. The ideal candidate will have some relevant experience and be eager to take on a challenge.

Key Responsibilities:

• Source materials quickly and competitively for fitout projects and joinery production.
• Utilize existing knowledge and systems to efficiently procure 80% of standard products.
• Use initiative and research skills to source the remaining 20% of products, collaborating closely with other team members.
• Manage stock inventory by booking goods in and out, maintaining control of stock levels for standard parts.
• Support the team with import/export and customs processes, if applicable.

Requirements:

• Previous experience in a purchasing or buying role, ideally in construction, fitout, or manufacturing environments.
• Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Good organizational skills with attention to stock control and inventory management.
• Import/export customs knowledge is a plus but not essential.
