Overview

2Fawcett is seeking a Bookkeeper to join an established business with over 15 years’ experience in their sector, based in Manchester. This role is ideal for candidates with experience in the industry, preferably with AAT level 2 qualifications.

• Maintain accurate financial records for two companies
• Manage purchase and sales ledgers, including invoicing and payments
• Reconcile bank accounts and ledgers
• Oversee credit control and cash flow
• Process weekly payroll
• Maintain nominal ledger and record all transactions
• Prepare monthly reports (cash flow, debtors, P&L)
• Handle PAYE, NIC, CIS, and VAT returns
• Ensure HMRC compliance
• Provide cover for payroll and subcontractor payments when required

What We’re Looking For

• Experience working in similar bookkeeping/accounts role
• Proficiency with accounting software
• Understanding of CIS, VAT processes in construction (advantageous)
