Salary: Up to £32,000 per year (depending on experience)

About the Role

Our client, a well-established logistics and distribution business, is looking for an organised and adaptable Transport Planner to join their team.

This is a key position supporting afternoon and evening operations, ensuring vehicles are planned efficiently and deliveries are completed on time.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and allocate daily routes for a fleet of vehicles
• Monitor deliveries and collections, making adjustments where required
• Support the coordination of evening transport operations
• Liaise with drivers and internal teams to ensure smooth operations
• Respond quickly to issues and changing priorities
• Maintain accurate records and update internal systems
• Provide clear and concise shift handovers
• Support continuous improvement within transport operations

About You

• Experience in transport planning, logistics, or a similar operational role is desirable
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work under pressure and make decisions confidently
• Comfortable using IT systems (training provided)
• Well organised with strong attention to detail
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn
