Hours: 8.30am – 5pm, Tuesday & Thursday will be your core days in the office
We are currently recruiting for a detail-oriented and highly organised Assistant Management Accountant to join a well-established and reputable business based in Ashby De La Zouch.

Responsibilities:
- Assist with and produce Monthly Management Accounts for the group.
- Working closely with their Shared Services Centre Finance Team in relation to Intercompany transactions that require billing for different entities.
- Support the Shared Services Centre Finance Team in AP, AR, and Banking queries.
- Preparation of Accrual and Prepayment journals.
- Review and sign off Trial Balance.
- Balance Sheet Account reconciliations with the support of the Shared Service Centre Finance Team.
- Assist with the production of year end accounts including detailed schedules to Shared Services Centre Finance Team for Audit.
- Working with Group tax and Shared Services Centre Finance Team to ensure compliance VAT, PAYE Settlement Agreement and Corporation tax.
- Balance pass-through revenue and costs for allocated projects.
- Reconcile accrued and deferred income for each project.
- Processing employee expenses.
- Issuing financial reports to project managers.
- Conduct monthly P&L meetings with project managers, highlighting current and year-to-date margins.
- To assist with specific ad hoc projects on behalf of department.
Skills/Experience:
- Proven experience working in a similar financial role.
- Experience working in the medical or healthcare industry would be an advantage.
- Knowledge of Oracle Fusion is desirable but not essential.
- Formal AAT qualification is highly preferred; however, part-qualified or QBE applicants are also encouraged to apply.
- Proficient user of MS Office, with strong skills in Excel.
- Strong communication skills with internal and external stakeholders.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Proactive mindset with a positive attitude to learn.
