2fawcett Recruitment are recruiting for an experienced Assembly Operative with aerospace experience on behalf of a well-established and growing manufacturing business operating within the aerospace sector.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a precision engineering company that supplies high-quality components to leading aerospace customers. The successful candidate will have previous aerospace assembly experience and a strong understanding of working within regulated, high-specification environments.

The Role:

As an Assembly Operative, you will be responsible for assembling complex aerospace components and sub-assemblies in line with engineering drawings and strict quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assembly of aerospace components to technical drawings and specifications.
• Use of hand tools, power tools, and specialist assembly equipment.
• Drilling, riveting, bonding, sealing, and fastening operations.
• Working to tight tolerances and aerospace quality standards.
• Completing production and quality documentation accurately.
• Conducting in-process inspections.
• Ensuring compliance with health & safety and industry regulations.
• Supporting continuous improvement activities.

The Candidate

Essential:

• Proven experience within aerospace assembly or manufacturing.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Experience working to tight tolerances.
• Strong attention to detail and quality-focused mindset.
• Good communication skills and team-oriented approach.

Desirable:

• Experience working to AS9100 standards.
• Engineering qualification (NVQ Level 2/3 or equivalent).
• Experience with composites or structural assembly.
