Role: Accounts Assistant
Hours: 20 – 25 hours per week (flexible)

Salary: £28,000 – £32,000 FTE (depending on experience)

We’re supporting a business in Lincoln who are looking to appoint a part-time accounts assistant to join their expanding finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking for a flexible role within a supportive and fast-growing organisation.

About the Role

As the Accounts Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting the day‑to‑day running of the finance function. The ideal candidate will have previous experience working in a finance setting and be confident using Xero and DEXT.

This is a part‑time role of approximately 20 hours per week, with full flexibility around how these hours are arranged — perfect for someone seeking work–life balance without compromising on career growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Processing invoices, receipts, and financial documentation
  • Supporting AP/AR activities
  • Completing bank reconciliations and maintaining accurate financial records
  • Assisting with month‑end tasks as required
  • Managing expenses and ensuring data accuracy within Xero/DEXT
  • General finance admin and support to the wider team

About You

  • Previous experience working within a finance or accounts role
  • Confident user of Xero and DEXT
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Good organisational skills and ability to prioritise own workload
  • AAT qualification (or studying towards it) is highly desirable
  • Able to start at short notice (preferred)
